I would not be so keen on the earlier answers, not for the present context. As often in German, one can leave some logical connections undefined, where English requires specificity. What is the nature of the impact of politics on markets? (Never mind the obverse).

It is pretty odd, isn't it - usually "Spannungsfeld" is used to describe the tension that exists between *two* entities.
I speak with no knowledge of the correct financial terminology
Or "How markets behave under the influence of politics"?
