As Greta quite rightly says, the Italian phrase means "conto terzi", i.e. the process is carried out for other companies and not just for own customers. This is essentially a form of outsourcing, where the company carrying out the process is usually called, with a USA flavour, "contractor". Subcontractor also applies, but it might convey a slightly different meaning as well.
