Accommodation payment – A payment made for legitimate debts in other than a normal business-like manner, such as payment in cash (other than very small amounts of petty cash), or payment to persons other than the parties to the business deal, or payment sent to a country other than where the person or entity entitled to payment maintains a business office.

Facilitating Payment - A small, unofficial payment made to expedite or ensure routine government activity such as obtaining licenses or permits, inspections of goods, work orders, utilities service and actions of a similar nature. These payments are designed to persuade the payee to do what he or she should do as part of their job responsibilities, when he or she would otherwise refuse or delay performance without lawful justification.
