Summer carrots

There is not a real equivalent in English to knippmorot - it only means it is sold in bunches (probably to indicate freshness, "straight out of the ground" sort of thing). Winter carrots are those bigger tougher carrots. But Summer Carrots, Baby Carrots and New Season Carrots would all work for knippmorot.

neutral Andrei Gitch (X) : nowdays you can buy "Summer carrots" from Israel at X-mas time.

baby carrots (20 portions)

See the link for pairing of knippmorot" with "baby carrots".

"P" must refer to the Swedish "portion", which is of course the same in English.
Peer comment(s):

disagree Andrei Gitch (X) : The chef at the diner mixed baby carrots as a special sort of carrots with the new/spring carrots which always sells in bunches in Sweden

Thanks for the clarification. I wondered why it was knipp- as a special kind of carrots. We don't often differentiate them here in the U.S., at least in my experience.

new carrots

All new veggies in Sweden are on sale in small bunches. 20 P puzzles me, only it is carrots pudding :)

Peer comment(s):

neutral acbonde : Never heard the term new carrots used in England - new potatoes yes but not new carrots.
