French term

PVRM

French to English Bus/Financial Retail
This abbreviation is used in a table followed by a list of prices for various products in a range. I'm sure the P stands for "prix" but don't think it's the equivalent of RRP (recommended retail price) - any ideas?

Discussion

SJLD Oct 7, 2011:
Which country is this from btw. Coz prix de vente recommandé is not very franco-français, more Belgian or Swiss. In France the RRP is usually prix de vente conseillé (PVC). An alternative for PVR could be prix de vente réel.
Louise Gough (asker) Oct 7, 2011:
Thanks for suggestions. The only further context I can provide is that the field is cosmetics and the country is definitely France. As I explained, it's in a table (in a presentation, therefore previous and subsequent text irrelevant and/or not helpful) and is followed by a list of prices so it's obvious what the P stands for. I thought it might be an abbreviation that someone had already come across in this context.
I think SJLD has probably got it.
SJLD Oct 6, 2011:
penny dropped - moyen (mean RRP)
@SJLD I agree, but what's the M here?
SJLD Oct 6, 2011:
PVR = prix de vente recommandé usually
@Louise Agree with Estelle - more context is necessary - especially whether you're sure this is a French acronym, or is it likely to be an English one. Also is this French French or from another country?
Estelle Demontrond-Box Oct 6, 2011:
Could you provide more context please? This is a French acronym? What is before and what is after? Thanks!

Prudential Value Range Marketing

I'm not sure what kind of products your translation is about, but could it be this? Most of the references I've found on Prudential Value Range Marketing seem to refer to selling houses, but it might be possible...

Prudential Value Range Marketing ... mirrors the natural buying and selling process, and tends to reduce the number of days a home is on the market. This proven marketing strategy encourages buyers to make an offer on the property and begin the negotiating process.
