Spanish term
Las entradas hombre y registros de inspección
Spanish to English
Tech/Engineering
Mechanics / Mech Engineering
México
I have a number of technical dictionaries, and after doing some research both of these phrases mean "manholes" so since one is listed right after the other, I am trying to understand the difference so I can translate them accurately.

A possibility. I suspect 'entradas hombre' is taken from the English word, anyway. Saludos

manholes
"Entradas de hombre" or more commonly "bocas de hombre" are manholes practiced directly in a pipeline with a sufficient diametre to allow a man go inside it.
"Registros de Inspección" or "Pozos de registro" is used to describe a hole dug in the ground, normally used to inspect some device like a valve or a flow measurer. It is also used for the holes practiced in the sewage network of a city, the ones you can see with the steel cover on them in every street.
I hope this is useful for you.
