Estoy de acuerdo con las dos respuestas anteriores, pero quería sugerir una alternativa. Yo, en este contexto, tiraría más bien por adaptar el texto un poco y poner alguna expresión tipo "borrar del mapa", "quitar de en medio", etcétera. Por ejemplo:
"¿A quién se le ocurre construir una fábrica en esta playa paradisiaca? ¡Deberíamos borrar del mapa esos adefesios ahora mismito!"
