Timo Lehtilä Aug 20, 2011:
networks of position marks I even phone an old friend, a geodesy engineer, concerning this question. Now I know what the terms "tasorunkoverkko" and "korkeusrunkoverkko" mean, although I don't know how 'tasorunkoverkko' should correctly be translated into English. //

'Tasorunkoverkko' refers to networks of marks where only the lateral positions of them are determined. An "uncertain" translation of it as 'network of position marks' is given here: https://publications.theseus.fi/bitstream/handle/10024/20417... //

In 'korkeusrunkoverkko' the heights of the marks are additionally determined.
