Deutsch term

Insolvenzfreie Masse

Deutsch > Englisch Wirtschaft/Finanzwesen Finanzen (allgemein) in relation to Spanish Cedulas
Die Deckungswerte bei spanischen Covered Bonds bilden keine insolvenzfreie Masse, wie dies bei den deutschen Pfandbriefen der Fall ist.

Here's the sentence in which 'insolvenzfreie Masse' is used - suggestions greatly appreciated.

or bankruptcy-exempt assets.

Many U.S. sites talk about what kinds of assets are exempt from bankruptcy proceedings. See the terms I suggested on Google.

neutral DFTS (X) : Sounds ok, but the problem is just about every single Google result for "bankruptcy-free collateral" comes up with different websites that link to exactly the same article you cite. It seems like there are just about no other occurrences of it.

neutral AllegroTrans : literal yes, but can you show it to be appropriate in context?

disagree Kim Metzger : Nothing to do with "ground" in this context. In financial terms, Masse is assets.

backed by available funds in case of bankruptcy of the issuer

A Pfandbrief will be repaid even if the bank issuing it goes bankrupt (see Wikipedia below), from some kind of guarantee holdings. Spanish Covered Bonds apparently, according to this text, do not have this additional guarantee.
