French term

resolder en devises

French to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) treasury
Hello,

This is from an interview with a middle office agent of a bank for a coms newsletter. He explains that they work upstream with the back offices and downstream with the Treasury:

"Les trésoreries ont pour but de 'resolder' les comptes bancaire de X en devises."

I'm a bit thrown by the "re" in solder, has anyone come across this before?

Many thanks in advance for your input.

rebalance the bank accounts in foreign currency

This is the only translation I could come up with, the following reference is about investments, but may help.....

Peer comment(s):

agree Yasdnil1 : yes - presumably they were checked in the bank's operating currency, but are being held in a different currency. Need to make sure the balance is correct in both.
