PDII can be configured to detect open fuse/field wiring and line-to-line short with the addition of one resistor in parallel and one resistor in series with the contact being sensed.
This adds open fuse or field wire detection and line-to-line field wire short detection.
If false, the contact in default configuration directly changes to the line-to-line short condition and one SOE is logged.

între firele de "câmp". This is called a "monitored" input circuit feature of an input module, ST is a little misleading - should read:
"..to detect open fuse and/or field wiring, and line-to-line short .." - open refers to either the fuse or the field wiring, and short - to the filed wiring (between the two wires that go to contact in the field)

Important este ca valoarea minima a curentului de scurtcircuit corespunde la un defect la capatul indepartat al liniei protejate, in general pentru un scurtcircuit faza-pamant la JT si faza-faza la MT (neutru izolat) in cele mai severe conditii de exploatare (defect la capatul liniei si nu in aval fata de protectie, un transformator sub tensiune in cazul existentei a doua unitati, etc.).
