Software
Hi everybody,
how do you say Datum Produktivsetzung/Abschaltung (einer Software/Anwendung) in English? I'm currently working on the translation of a software, so there's not much context to provide. I've found two terms but they don't seem to be the right ones: Production Date/ Decommission Date.
Thanks!
Cheers, Arash

German term (edited):
Produktivsetzung/Abschaltung (Software)
Selected
going live / decomissioning
I'm happy with the first part; other people may have better suggestions for "Abschaltung"
2 KudoZ points awarded for this answer.
Comment: "Thanks everyone!"
28 mins
going live / end of service
other possibility for Abschaltung would be "phasing out" but that could be seen as a more gradual process.
1 hr
activation/deactivation
Here's another possibility.
18 hrs
deployment/deprecation
Particularly if you are talking about higher level software development and implementation.
Discussion
(I agree with Cilian, though.)
And there are already several entries for Produktivsetzung in the glossary.
