A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Subsidiair
Volgt altijd op primair; met primair wordt de maximaal haalbare vordering of tenlastelegging aangegeven. Subsidiair wordt de vordering anders geformuleerd als verwacht wordt dat de eerste vordering (primair) niet tot het beoogde resultaat zal leiden. Bijvoorbeeld: primair wordt ten laste gelegd dat verdachte diefstal met geweld heeft gepleegd; subsidiair wordt alleen diefstal ten laste gelegd.

@ Chris Fully concur with your post. 'Ondergeschikt' basically has the same meaning as 'subsidiair'. Van den End's JurLex suggests 'alternative(ly)' or 'in the alternative', but that might be US English?

ondergeschikt In a statement of claim, 'ondergeschikt' indicates that the relief sought is subsidiary to some other, previously mentioned relief. For example, in a claim for breach of contract, the first relief sought might be specific performance. You could then also seek relief in the form of damages suffered. This relief would be subsidiary to (ondergeschikt) to the first relief. This subsidiarity also allows you to enter two or more claims, so that if the first is rejected, you have a "plan B". Of: "bovendien vorderen zij". Zowel het woord "daarnaast" als "bovendien" geven aan dat het iets betreft wat niet de hoofdzaak is.

I would translate "vragen" as request, "vorderen" as demand; the tone of the second sentence is a lot weaker than a demand.
