English term

quality leads

English to German Bus/Financial Marketing Sales
This is from a company blog for employees. The company explains what it plans to achieve at an upcoming trade fair.

Original sentence: Generate quality leads for our sales and distribution network.

I know what the term means, contact information about potential buyers with a high chance of success. I was just wondering if any of you knew a better German expression than Hinweis or Kontaktdaten. I found the English term used in German. Is that common?
Change log

Mar 1, 2011 11:14: lisa23 changed "Level" from "Non-PRO" to "PRO"

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

PRO (3): Steffen Walter, Susanne Schiewe, lisa23

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Manticore (X) Mar 1, 2011:
@Jalapeno leads sind eigentliche potentielle Kunden, daher hochwertige oder qualifizierte Kundenkontakte. Ob in meinm ersten Beitrag "leads for sales..." oder der gesamte Ausdruck steht ist wurscht.
Jalapeno Mar 1, 2011:
Eigentlich ... geht es um leads for *our sales and distribution network*.

;-)
Manticore (X) Mar 1, 2011:
Kontakte ist ein wenig zu allgemein. Hier geht es um Kundenkontakte (leads for sales...).

(qualifizierte) Kundenkontakte

Gibt's auch, wo für "qualifizierte" eigentliche "qualified" stehen müsste.

Thank you

Kontaktanbahnung

Note from asker:
That was a very helpful comment, thanks a a lot, Sabine!

neutral Hans G. Liepert : keine Wertung: Wo ist der Unterschied zwischen dem 'bösen' Fremdwort leads und dem 'guten' Fremdwort Kontakte? Altersbonus?

Genau, das ist der Seniorenbonus. Man muss ja unsere alten Mitwörter irgendwie in die moderne Gesellschaft integrieren ... ;-)
