Hi everybody! I am translating different people's roles in a movie. One of the is "matte artist". I know that
"A matte painting is a painted representation of a landscape, set, or distant location that allows filmmakers to create the illusion of an environment that would otherwise be too expensive or impossible to build or visit. Historically, matte painters and film technicians have used various techniques to combine a matte-painted image with live-action footage. Creo que esta es una buena opción, veo varias referencias en la web. También se utiliza aclarar al lado entre paréntesis "matte painting" porque el término inglés parece estar muy arraigado. Pero en definitiva, si te interesa poner un término bien castellano, creo que te tienes que inclinar por algo que incluya los fondos. ¡Buen fin de semana a tod@s!
