français term
son artère aorte s’était pliée
français vers anglais
Médecine
Médecine : cardiologie
disease of the aorta (in a biography)

I'm not convinced by "folded aorta" - it gets virtually no g-hits - and am wondering what the correct term would be here. For what it's worth, the patient had had two coronary bypasses a couple of years previously
Please note that this is a biography rather than a medical text, so the common term is probably what I'm looking for.
I'd be most grateful for help with this - many thanks!

many thanks for the help, Carmen! I think the term I'm looking for is "kink" |

many thanks Drmanu! I don't think this was actually an aneurism or rupture, but merely a kink. |
Discussion
As you say, it's funny how the inspiration can suddenly hit you a propos of absolutely nothing, when you're doing something quite unrelated...!
Note that kink is not the same as a coarcation, which is a narrowing of the aorta.
Clearly, the patient had a "kink in the aorta", or coarctation
