French term

clients fonctionnels

French to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general) IT
Referring to clients from the support functions of the business. The sentence:

"En tant que clients fonctionnels, nous nous attendons du projet de pouvoir mettre en place les dispositifs qui nous permettront d'atteindre nos objectifs stratégiques".

"Functional clients" has never sounded right to me. Does anyone know of anything snappier than "support function clients"?

My thanks in advance!

Discussion

Bianca Jacobsohn (asker) Nov 21, 2010:
"Clients from the support functions" has the last word.
AllegroTrans Nov 10, 2010:
I don't see how the translation has to be any "snappier" than your suggestion - unless you are being paid to write advertising material

French term (edited): "clients fonctionnels"

Feasible/relevant clients

as feasible/relevant clients central to the project
Note from asker:
Thank you very much for your feedback, Verginia. It could indeed mean clients that are important to the project, but just not in this case.

I see it as potential clients/users of the project......
neutral AllegroTrans : sounds unnatural - and feasible and relevant are not interchangeable adjectives
2 hrs
potential clients and important to the project
