I am translating some tender documents for a gas company regarding the supply of drilling equipment and am struggling with the meaning of 'prodotti sfusi':
Trasporto prodotti sfusi (barite/bentonite)
L’APPALTATORE provvederà alla fornitura e trasportodei prodotti sfusi (barite e bentonite) dalle sue basi e/o depositi all’AREA DEI SERVIZI e/o alle sedi indicate dal COMMITTENTE. L’APPALTATORE, per tale attività, impiegherà autotreni/autotreni botte con classe di peso compresa tra 28 e 30 Ton.
I found 'bulk products' but I'm not sure if it's something referring to chemicals?

they are both minerals (not chemicals) so bulk products is fine by me. Think of a ship (bulk carrier) which carries all sorts of products like these: coal, wheat, carbon, bauxite, barite, bentonite etc.

"Prodotti sfusi" simply means products that are not packaged. Most commonly in Italy, you will see signs advertising "vino sfuso", i.e. wine sold by the litre.
