Jack Dunwell (asker) Aug 19, 2010:
Bashiqua Basically, as you would expect, a Down Hole Motor, MWD Equipment, anti-magnetic connectors, string stabilisers, casings, Monels, Near bit stabilisers, Pin-Pin connectors...
Is that useful, B?
Bashiqa Aug 19, 2010:
@ fourth What else is on the list of items?
Jack Dunwell (asker) Aug 19, 2010:
Well Tony Humour to humour....this is a PLUS The thing is that anyone who knows anything at all (I don't) about geothermal well operations probably know this. It also turns up on internet, but I'm not siufficiently knowledgable to decipher it.
Jack Dunwell (asker) Aug 19, 2010:
Hello Bashiqa It's the diameter of the geothermal doublet well they are sinking (see multi references "geomthermal" "doublet". The well varies in size as it is drilled. One of the phases is the 17" phase. I targetted this of course.
Bashiqa Aug 19, 2010:
@ fourth I thought I'd been asking silly questions these last few days. Definitely more context required. e.g. what is 17" phase?
kashew Aug 19, 2010:
Ambiguous dimensions I would check with the engineer.

Only low confidence. Can't be 91/2" dia so my reasoning tells me 1/2".
Note from asker:
I take it this is 9 and a half inch diameter used in the 17 inch phase
Peer comment(s):

neutral kashew : Good point about the dimension(s). Your idea goes for 9" x 1/2" D or phi. But 9,5" long seems fair. I've come across dimensions expressed like this before in FR docs!

Merci. Why specifically 9.5" and not either 9 or 10?
