A cute word, but I have no idea what it means other than referring to a packed lunch (at least I think)....

agree Per Bergvall : It's a bag, strapped to your body, intended to hold your lunch until you need it. It could be a backpack or a waistpack. If haversack goes with that, you have my vote.
