patentese Since this is for a patent, all the words have to go in, even air (it could in principle be some other gas). Otherwise I would be inclined to leave it out. The great advantage of patentese is that it doesn't even have to pay lipservice to literary merit, so long as the meaning is clear and unambiguous.

neutral writeaway : I can't find a single Ghit, patent-related or other for mattress with inflatable air chambers (same goes for pillow) /but this is for a patent and that is not an accurate translation. just the general idea is not good enough

agree chris collister : You could argue that the difference between a chamber and a cell is one of size, but the difference is pretty ill-defined. A nautilus has chambers rather than cells, but foam plastic has cells rather than chambers. Either way, I'm not sure it matters much
