el buen estado de vidrio
"Soundness" means "solidez" when describing the economy or the currency, but, in the above case, "buen estado" is what it means. After all, glass isn't really a "material sólido" as we tend to understand it.

De las varias acepciones que da el diccionario politécnico de las lenguas española e inglesa me parece que solidez puede ser la mas compatible con vidrio. No sé en qué medida esto se pueda adecuar a tu contexto.

The source text is somewhat incongruent because it is usual to troubleshoot only when something (the glass in this case) is not sound. The English phrase 'troubleshooting flaws in the glass' conveys the same idea as 'troubleshooting soundness of the glass', but avoids the incongruency.
