Bonded stores means store where aircraft components and materials, bearing evidence of having been received from approved sources, are stocked.

All incoming aircraft parts/materials shall be transferred to the bonded store only after they have been accepted as per stores procedure and have certification documents issued with the approval of the airworthiness authority of the country of origin certifying that the goods compiled with the aircraft specification, drawings or processes quoted therein. Different consignments of the same parts/materials received under separate release documents shall be so stored in the bonded stores, as to make it possible to identify these with the release documents. Arrangements shall also be made for protecting these from deterioration and contamination during storage and handling.


Quarantine stores means stores where aircraft components, materials awaiting evidence of having been received from approved sources are stocked.
