drain(age) flange because mosfets may have a drain pin as well.

Vitaly is right. MOSFETs have legs (or terminals) for source, drain, and gate. The heatsink flange is also called a drain, so it's safe to translate Drainlasche as drain flange.

I would think that they want to emphasize the physical tab because they use this for heat dissipation

agree itla : Drain tab is certainly fine. A drain flange has a hole in it, a tab doesn't. The asker will have to check that.
