Aviram, מהימנות is not just reliablility. When you say of someone or something that he/it is מהימן you mean he/it is "all around positive": credible, reliable, true, believable (there's more...).
Please clarify, is the phrase you are looking for a type of research methodolgy which is entitled "best practice searches"?
