Danish term

Forhandlervendt

Danish to English Marketing Human Resources Overskrift i jobannonce (Holland) - Job ad headline

Channel account manager/Channel Manager

Forhandler is often used to describe dealers or the more common term "channels" -. I think forhandlervendt can appropriately be translated as "channel manager" in this case and the "forhandler platform" is referring to the channel network that this person would be selling to. I used to be a "Channel Manager" for a large Telecoms company - and that's the term we always used!

Yes, I would agree in hindsight - and I would choose either distributor-focused or channel-focused Account Manager out of the two.
Note from asker:
Thanks:-) I think I might need a description rather than a title. I was thinking something like: "Distributor-focused Account Manager" or "Distributor-oriented Account Manager". Do you think one of these would do, or do you have a better suggestion?

seasoned (account manager)

Don't translate the words; communicate the message!

:o)
Note from asker:
The message here is that a big part of the new Account Manager's job will be to "deal with" the distributors (forhandlere).
Peer comment(s):

agree Charlesp : Yes, but isn't there a risk of "seasoned" being confused with "spicy," and one wouldnt want a spicy account manager. How about "Experienced" ?

No, it would not be confused with 'spicy'! 'Experienced' is, IMHO, a wee bit too weak.

Experienced

'Forhandlervendt' implies someone who is used to (i.e. experienced in) managing distributor accounts, so why not 'Experienced Distributor Account Manager', for example?
