(It's) easy to get on high horse when you win hands down!
M-am tot gandit azi, si mi-am tot rascolit mintea.

get on your high horse- to act as if you are better or more intelligent than other people We can't get on our high horse and judge other countries by our own standards.

win (something) hands down - to win easily She won the debate hands down.

1. Also, in a breeze; in a walk. Easily, without effort, as in She won the election hands down, or They won in a breeze, 10-0, or The top players get through the first rounds of the tournament in a walk. All of these expressions originated in sports. Hands down, dating from the mid-1800s, comes from horse racing, where jockeys drop their hands downward and relax their hold when they are sure to win. In a breeze, first recorded in a baseball magazine in 1910, alludes to the rapid and easy passage of moving air; in a walk, also from baseball, alludes to taking a base on balls, that is, reaching first base without having hit a pitched ball because of the pitcher's mistakes.
2. Unquestionably, without a doubt, as in Hands down, it was the best thing I've ever done.

Adica, sensul ar fi: e usor sa te dai mare si tare cand castigi fara efort.

Comment: "vai... nu a fost usor de tradus: pentru ca raspunsul tau contine parte din solutia pe care am ales-o, acordam 2 punte :-) iata ce am propus eu: "It's easy to mount the high horse when you're given a ladder"; am mizat pe inventivitate, deoarece in continuarea dialogului mai apare "shall I take you for another ride"... cam atat, drept explicatie, multumesc tuturor pentru ajutor!!!"

nu stiu de expresie echivalenta afara de "handed on a silver platter" al Mirelei Spulber dar care e, cum de altfel a zis si dansa, nu tocmai potrivit in context

laid on a plate

cred ca exista 'laid on a plate', dar poate se foloseste doar in context fotbalului. Aici un exemplu in al treilea paragraf: http://www.faw.org.uk/news/1558

mihaela.
