I am having some trouble with how to word the last part of the sentence below.
Nel caso in cui qualunque parte della macchina o sua componente funzionale venisse manomessa o sostituita con parti non contemplate nell'elenco delle parti di ricambio allegato al presente manuale, fa decadere la responsabilità della XXX spa come costruttore e fa diventare automaticamente costruttore colui che ha effettuato le modifiche dette.
Basically I understand that the manufacturer won't be held liable if other people screw around with the machine or don't use the parts listed in the manual- and the person/company/whoever did screw around with the machine will be held responsible.
If I understand what they are saying than I just need a slightly more diplomatic way to phrase the last part about the "person responsible for tampering/not using the right parts will be held liable "

a bit too long
It's a bit to long to explain but basically the person or person making any modifications to the machinery during the warranty period automatically become the manufacture and as such are responsible and liable for any due consequences.
