Comment: "Thank you very much. I used crimp, as that looked the most probable based on the picture. Thank you for everybody's help."

caulking
When my company (a Japanese automotive co.) uses this term, we usually mean "caulking" parts. I think the whole text tells the operator to "caulk the parts to prevent the parts from sticking out."

crimping
Crimping is when metal is bent around another component to secure it, where I worked in house, this referred to 'crimping' tanks to radiators, the verb to 'crimp' was also used, and this point in the process was called the 'crimpline.'
Example sentence:
"cause of defect: trapped gasket on crimpline 2"

Caulking or Staking
Caulking is more commonly used, but in this case, 飛び出し不可 means the caulk itself must not stick out beyond the surface (plane) that is caulked.
Caulking is done by passing a soft material pin through two or more panels that need to be affixed together. The end of the pin is then crushed in a circular pattern, flattening that end so that the pin cannot be removed -- ergo, the panels or pieces are fastened together.
Think of a large manila envelope, with the two prongs that come through a hole and are flattened to make sure that the flap doesn't open. That's acutally a Cotter Pin, but the concept is the same.

I've heard of crimping beads and in plumbing, but not in my job.
