Getting into knots! It all makes sense, BUT the word in there is "déplaçable" and I cannot equate that to your non-rigid joint concept. Maybe the French is a bit approx.?

Italian I think I've found it in Italian, where 'nodi' (noeuds) is translated as joints and can be mobile
so I think I'll go with mobile joints

Joints?! You seem intent on the movable joint thingy - I really don't see anything like that in the French (just the single word "noeud"), but if you think that fits with the whole text it's your baby. Might make sense at the end.

Collapse makes sense! My understanding:
Analysis (calculation) is done by applying load concentrations/conditions (nodes? nodal references??) that are either fixed or variable in position, i.e. static (what is described in b) as against dynamic loading.
Does that make any sense?

Not 'composite joint', I don't think Though I'm afraid I can't tell you what it is — but from my technical understanding (admittedly limited!) of what is going on here, I'd say this is some kind of stress / failure mode [seems like fixed / movable nodes], and nothing to do with actual physical joints.
