Pontitus, paalutus.

Finnish to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering
A list of different methods used in construction, or more accurately when doing foundation work, of which these are two. Any ideas?

ponttaus, or tonguing and grooving is a way to lay wood flooring and pontitus is the equivalent in the vertical plane using metal sheet.
Piling or pile-driving is a way to set vertical members in bedrock or soil.
