This one is not so easy: A clipped wheel can either be a turbine of sorts, with the blades clipped in length to manipulate the output of it. It can also mean a wheel with something clipped onto its perimeter. As we are talking about a motor for an awning I suspect the latter option is the better one. (A circular motion being transformed into a linear one).
