disposal

Does this mean that the value of the manure is fixed at the cost of disposal - i.e. it may be given or sold to anyone who will pay the cost of removing it?

I have not found this in any dictionary, but by googling and looking at the contexts, it seems to mean passing on or ´disposing of´ by-products or surplus, possibly substandard produce, and minimising costs or losses.

I'm guessing here - more context might help if you have any!

In that case I would probably say something like fixing the value of the manure at the cost of spreading it. (This would balance the accounts - it does not provide a directly measurable income, but spreading it is an expense, and it is supposed to be an asset of some kind!)
Here I am assuming that it is a ´by-product´ of the animals reared on the farm.

Deploying it?

It was bedtime this side of the pond when I added my last note... Having slept on it, I wonder if you could say ´deployment´?
Putting something to good use?

Oxford Advanced Learner's says:
2. (formal) to use sth. effectively: to deploy arguments/resources > deployment, noun

This strikes me as quite close to some of the meanings of ´afdisponere´ that I have seen.

I can´t edit this answer or add a new one, but you can edit the glossary entry when you close the question, so that it comes up in future searches.

They will also show the discussion here if anyone is interested.
Note from asker:
They are talking about the costs of using manure vs. fertilizer on the fields as the prices of fertilizer have gone up. So what I understand that in stead of getting rid of the manure they save money using IT as fertilizer...
lol ´by-product´..yea! Yes, it is an expense, but still cheaper than buying fertilizer. There is another word, which is " Gylle disponering" and in the list of terms is translated "Slurry-manure handling". That confuses me, afdisponering is opposite of disponering? What is opposite of handling? Thx for your time ;)
Yes, I like deployment...it fits the context very well!! If you could add it as answer, I can close the Kudoz ;)
