A cable landing point is the location where a submarine or other underwater cable makes landfall. The term is most often used for the landfall points of submarine telecommunications cables and submarine power cables. The landing will either be direct (in the case of a point-to-point cable system) or via a branch from a main cable using a submarine branching unit. The branch can be many kilometres long.

terminare è un termine usato in questo contesto quando si vuole intendere che il filo/cavo deve finire in quel punto. Però non ho mai visto usare l'inglese land in questo termine. Questo è solo uno dei termini che mi vengono in mente in questo contesto.
Un'altra possibilità che mi viene in mente è che in questo caso si sta riferendo ad un tubo che deve restare al di fuori di un muro o dal suolo (cioè deve restare all'aperto), mentre negli altri casi, trattandosi invece di cavi elettrici, devono essere interrati o messi dentro una canalina nel muro. Ma anche così non è che mi sia chiara la cosa.
