German term

in toleranzfreier Ausführung

Selected

zero-tolerance application

Reword:
Our technologies include the zero-tolerance application of diamond-like hard coat surface finish (DLC coating) by (using) dry lubrication

In order to overcome these problems, it is envisioned to use ***dry lubrication (application of diamond-like carbon coating)*** instead of the wet lubrication (wet wax). However, the dry lubrication (diamond-like carbon coating) is poor in conductivity, although superior in wear-resistance.

Detection of completion of the curing process is critical prior to ***application of surface finish*** or coatings
http://www.ndt.net/abstract/wcndt96/data2/255.htm

Surface Preparation
All surfaces should be adequately prepared for the surface finish by sanding along the grain without leaving cross grain scratches. All gross blemishes should be removed before the ***application of the surface finish***.

agree Peter Manda (X) : this is what I used to hear in the auto-paint industry where toleranzfrei & zero tolerance are used often

very close tolerance

We then carried out the optimization for the non-tolerance and tolerance cases ...
