Thank you Mark. As far as my restricted knowledge of Turkish reaches "selam" means just "greeting", http://www.seslisozluk.com/?word=selam

neutral Fikrija Skarep : I wouldn't even translate this, especially "selam", since it is combination of Turkish and Arabic words, not Bosnian. "Selam" means "peace" and "selam alejkum" (or "As-Salamu Alaykum") thus means "peace be upon you". However, it is used as a greeting.

I certainly would translate this as it is a Bosnian version of originally Arabic/Turkish words which, nowadays mean nothing more and nothing less than "Special/particular greetings".
