I think we need to know more to judge which answer is best: the right phrase for two companies which have narrowly avoided bankruptcy will be inappropriate for two world leaders in their field getting together or if one company has rescued the other...

Now what?

After two companies have merged, it is natural to ask what will happen next (the majority of mergers eventually fail). Instead of a literal translation (how does it continue?), the more natural way to express the thought is, "Now what?"
Example sentence:

Merrill Lynch has merged with Bank of America--now what?
