I am positive that the author meant: "Auftritt beim Kunden". Meaning, that different teams / different branches show up at the clients' with a non-consistent, home-made garden variety of marketing materials.

Without further context I would just use "image" here.

A bit more of the test might help to come up with something more specific.

In light of the added context "image" is too unspecific, however "customer image" might imply the image of the customer not the image projected to customers. David is more along the right lines.
