Did you check Eurodicautom before posting this question? I ask because there are translations there which you may have chosen to discard for some reason. Anyway, according to Eurodicautom:
Absaugen = aspiration, exhaust
absaugen = to filter, to suction
ausblasen = to blow out, to flush
Aspiration and flushing seem most likely in the general context you refer to. A couple of web searches seem to confirm this educated guess.
