I did a bit of creative googling... is it possible that this is a "tone link", perhaps an alarm system in case of malfunction. It's difficult to get rid of all the hits that involve bracelets and watches, but googling "tone link" + drive + signal brough up more rechnical ones... Any clues as to what the first "tonslänk" is?
