: UIC RailLexic has Wiegendämpfung: zw. Wiege u. Fahrzeugkasten angeordnete Dämpfung, welche die Schlingerbewegung d. Drehgestells u. d. Wank- u. Nickbewegung d. Kastens vermindert (bolster damping/damper; "damper" more common).

: I don't find "bolster buffer" in any of your proffered links; could you say where they are, exactly?

@Moore: 1:halfway down under picture. 2:bolster towards end 3: several but disconnected 4: top only bolster. I would've used "damper" as Walter proposed, such: http://www.koni-enidine-rail.com/Koni-Assist.asp. Thanks and regards.

: It seems that the "bolster" element is usually left out and that "vertical" is used instead. Good to learn and many thanks. Shall I amend the glossary entry?
