This will work if your text is in any way related to the use of pharmaceuticals or other medical treatments. Surely there must be context (the contents of the module descriptions, for example)!!

neutral John Dale D.D. : clinical social work is not (medically) a physical science it is based in sociology and psychology - if you read the information given it cleary states "clinical social work course". also my comments are based on over twenty years experience in the field

Ich gehe davon aus, dass hier statt Wirkungsforschung der Terminus Wirksamkeitsforschung eingesetzt wurde. Da es sich um einen sozialwissenschaftlichen Begriff handelt, ist eher Wirkungsforschung hier gemeint.
