: or weighed quantities. The "Ein" simply means that the quantity is weighed "into" (or onto) a vessel, dish, etc. and is really rather superfluous as it goes without saying. Like "auf" in aufheizen - and "up" in heated up

initial weights
This is the term that is used. I use it all the time for some of my chem clients. Check out the link to Leo.org below where they list this as a translation. They also suggested 'weighted sample' but I am confident your context is probably just 'initial weight'

: this is A term (not THE term) that can be appropriate in certain cases, especially in analyses where Auswaagen play a role. CL5 is IMO way too high, hence my "neutral ".
