Stucco can also be applied over wood or other composition walls and wall surfaces. These surfaces must be covered with a water shedding material such as roofing felt. Then stucco mesh is fastened to the wall. Stucco mesh is the same as chicken wire except that it is made so that the mesh is held a small distance from the surface of the wall. Stucco can also be applied over galvanized expanded metal lath which is also made to stand away from the surface of the wall.

"fiberglass stucco" (or fiberglass-based stucco) is another option, but it's not used as frequently.

"Mesh-reinforced plaster" sounds good to me, but to describe the entire thing you might also want to consider "synthetic stucco" or EIFS, which consists of insulation board, fiberglass mesh and a finish coat. It seems appropriate here since the text mentions both a top coat and the mesh.

Note from asker:
Thanks a lot for the mesh. I think that this is the "Gewebe". But how to call the entire thing on the wall? I tried some combinations and came up with "mesh-reinforced plaster"... don't know how this sounds to a native speaker. |

this is a term that i have seen used in past translations
Note from asker:
