English term

spent chips

Non-PRO English to Japanese Tech/Engineering lubricant
As the PAG wets the metal surfaces of the tool and the workpiece, a thin layer of concentrated PAG and lubricity/anti-weld additives is deposited to prevent galling and welding of the workpiece to the tool.

The spent chips and excess coolant/water solution fall back into the relatively cool sump, where the PAG, lubricity and anti-weld additives go back into solution.

"spent chips" is in the second paragraph. If anyone can help, I will appreciate it very much!

切りくず or 切粉

The text apparently refers to a machining process of metal workpiece. Therefore, I think "spent chips" refers to small pieces of cut metals coming off from either the workpiece or the cutting tool.

By the way, I accidentally hid my answer suggestion and had to post this one again so that others can also see.

Or

使用済ウエハ
"Shiyou-zumi ueha"

I think this is about semiconductor manufacturing. If so, the chips are usually referred to as 「ウエハ」.
