briefcase

Non-PRO English to Czech Other Textiles / Clothing / Fashion accessories
I have two Czech translations for the word "briefcase" (a man's case with handle, usually leather, like this: http://www.swales.wea.org.uk/Image_Bank/Business_ImageResour... They are "kufřík" and "aktovka". I have to choose one, the most popular and widespread. Please tell, which one is better?

"Kufřík" - is vague. Therefore if I had to choose from those two, I would use "aktovka", though it might have a meaning of a schoolbag too. Personally, I would go for a compeltely different term: diplomatka (attaché case)

briefcase - for holding loose papers...
briefcase - aktovka, aktovka na dokumenty ( a light case for papers, made of leather, etc.; ...)

suitcase - kufr
small suitcase - kufřík
