This comes at the end of a section headed "Premievrijstelling bij arbeidsongeschiktheid," in a summary of pension payments to a defined contribution scheme. There is no previous mention of any waiting period. For context, here's the entire section:

Am I correct in assuming "wachttijd" means the period during which the company will pay the contribution while employee is disabled? And if so, is there some "technical" term for this period?

It doesn't seem that the employee must qualify for anything and it seems absurd to me that you must wait 104 weeks to have employer pay your pension contribution if you are unable to work due to disability. I'm trying to find out if "wachttijd" is used in insurance lingo in a way different that it is usually understood. Thanks for your link though. |
