In the UK, it's 999! Thanks for this explanation! I wouldn't have guessed this one, and had in mind "the number one emergency service" = "the premier emergency service". Best to omit the number I think! Europe is trying to standardize on 112...

I wonder if "01" would be self-explanatory in this context. Maybe you are right to ask. Although we all know what 911 stands for.
