Discussion

To start, I'll assist Czechtrans with English. Try "similar types of questions". (plural) Suspicios is actually spelled "suspicious".

Secondly, you are overly terse, if not rude. There are more graceful ways of correcting someone who is not familiar with the system. Somebody suggested I contact the Pro group and somehow I was bumped up to dealing with these people instead of the others in these lyric translations. It's not my intention to cheat anyone so please don't accuse me of this. I am not a professional, but I'd be happy to help you with your English OR your website, Czechtrans!
Radovan Pletka Feb 28, 2007:
I agree with you.
AbraCol (asker) Feb 28, 2007:
Let's not be nasty now!
AbraCol (asker) Feb 28, 2007:
On second thought... Thanks, but I think I'll stay unless I hear more complaints from others. Perhaps I could help Czechtrans spruce up the personal website in trade for translation advice.
Radovan Pletka Feb 28, 2007:
Let me give you a hint, check how many people posted similar type of questions (length, number, and topic) earlier and you will see that you are quite unreasonable, or at least pushing it a bit.
Most people here are professionals, translate for living and pay $100 per year to use this site. You want help for free, and you joined for free. You didn't answer any questions yet, you didn't help anybody yet. Nobody knows you and your info about you says nothing. So excuse me for being a bit suspicios. So share more info, try to help in return and you will do just fine here. And welcome (smile). Learning curve here is fast and steep, and everybody went through it.

I don't believe in Milton Freidman's cliche. You do not CARE?! :-( I am not deliberately trying to *milk the system* although there were some very gracious people on KudoZ who have been so nice to enthusiastically help and have turned this milk into butter. So at least it was a better lunch--while it lasted. Me, the ignorant "newbie," read in the rules that supposedly I could ask a certain number of questions in a given period of time... at no charge. Perhaps I need to consult non-pro participants in KudoZ. Or the rules need to be restated if payment is necessarily required. Alas, I will slink off to another list with my tail between my legs and ask for translation charity. Woe is me.
Radovan Pletka Feb 28, 2007:
I am not offended, in fact I do not care, but as I understand this system, it is for professionals to help each other, and you are looking like trying to milk the system/our expertise for free. So either give us a good reason or pay to get the expertise. There is no free lunch.
