In a manual about how to operate in a store, I get this "state the customer's name" (if the customer uses a credit card). For what I understand, the sales person may read the name on the card to later address to the customer by using his name. The action is not related to checking purposes. So how can I translate this "state the name" into Spanish?

llame al cliente por su nombre
It is annoying to be called by your first name by a stranger, but they have apparently been taught to do it.

Note from asker:
Why "indicar"? "Indicar" to who? An example: The sales pro is supposed to say "hello Isabel", once he has read my name on the credit card. Can't see that indicar is the best translation. Please help me out with another suggestion. Thanks. |
